Is your troop boy-run?

Every troop is boy-run, because the Boy Scout program is intended to be boy-run. Like most Boy Scout Troops, we at Troop 315 are constantly looking for ways to have our Scouts take more responsibility for running their program.

Where can I purchase a Scout uniform?

Musselman is located at 2226 NW Military Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78213 inside the Alamo Area Council Service Center. This is a full service shop.

ScoutReach Scout Shop is located at 8503 S. Zarzamora St, San Antonio, Texas 78224, inside the Alamo Area Council BSA ScoutReach Service Center on the Southside of San Antonio. This one has just enough to get started.

What can a parent do to assist?

We always need parents who are willing to take an active role in the Troop.  You can serve as an Assistant Scoutmaster or Committee Member.  We also need parents to help drive Scouts to campouts, help with merit badge classes, serve on Boards of Review, help plan campouts, assist with fundraisers, etc. Parents are also encouraged to attend all Boy Scout meetings, events, and campouts.  Parents who attend campouts will be made part of the "To Be Named" Patrol while your sons camp with their own patrols. We want both you and your Scout to participate and enjoy the Scouting experience. If you wish to participate, please speak with the Scoutmaster or Committee Chair.  The ideal way to help is doing something you enjoy!

Do you need further information?

Check the Scout Handbook and the Alamo Area Council Website.

What if I still have questions?

Contact the committee chair.
